12 regions covered, 91 schools listed.
Greater London
22 schools
Greater London is hands down the densest skate region in the UK. Between the historic Southbank Undercroft, the BaySixty6 indoor under the A40, Mile End in the east and Stockwell in the south, there's barely a postcode without a decent place to learn.

12 schools
The South East is one of the most skate-active regions outside London. Brighton has a permanent year-round scene (The Level, Saltdean), and the rest of the region is a patchwork of council-built parks, indoor warehouses and seaside concrete that work brilliantly between April and October.

10 schools
The South West has one of the most distinctive skate identities in the UK. Bristol is the centre of gravity, with Dean Lane, Lloyds amphitheatre and a deep DIY tradition that's been alive since the 80s. Outside the city, you'll find world-class concrete parks scattered along the Devon and Cornwall coast that double as holiday destinations.

9 schools
Scotland has a distinctive skate identity built around tough weather, brilliant skaters and a tight community. Edinburgh and Glasgow are the two main hubs, with strong supporting scenes in Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness. Indoor capacity is real and central — without it, Scottish winter would shut things down for half the year.

7 schools
The North West has two big anchors — Manchester and Liverpool — and a strong supporting cast of Lancashire and Cheshire parks. Projekts MCR in central Manchester is one of the few city-centre indoor parks in the UK, and Liverpool's scene runs deep thanks to a long history of street skating and shops like Lost Art.

6 schools
Yorkshire has one of the most underrated skate scenes in the UK. Sheffield in particular has been a national reference for transition skating for decades thanks to The House and The Works, and Leeds has built a strong city-centre culture around Hyde Park and Mabgate.
See lessons →East Midlands
5 schools
The East Midlands is a quieter but solid corner of the UK skate map. Nottingham is the regional anchor with a strong heritage scene (Forty Two Skateboard Magazine was based there, and Nottingham produced a wave of street pros in the 2000s). Leicester, Derby, Lincoln and Northampton all have functioning park scenes and small school networks.

The West Midlands sits in the middle of the country geographically and the middle of the table reputation-wise. Birmingham has been growing fast over the last decade with new concrete parks (Birmingham Wheels, plus several refurbished neighbourhood parks), and there's a steady network of schools across Coventry, Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent.
See lessons →East of England
4 schools
The East of England covers a wide patch — Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire — and the skate scene is spread out accordingly. There's no single dominant city, but there are good parks in Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Stevenage and Hemel Hempstead.

4 schools
The North East is small geographically but punches well above its weight. Newcastle has a long-running street scene anchored by Exhibition Park, and Middlesbrough is home to Prissick Skate Plaza — one of the largest and most-photographed concrete plazas in the UK.
See lessons →Wales
4 schools
Wales has a small but stubbornly active skate scene, anchored by Cardiff and Spit n Sawdust — one of the most-loved indoor parks in the UK. Beyond the capital, Swansea, Newport and a string of valley towns have all built or refurbished concrete parks in the last decade, and North Wales has a real coastal park culture in summer.
See lessons →Northern Ireland
3 schools
Northern Ireland's skate scene is small but tight. Belfast is the centre of gravity, with a long history of council-built parks and recent investment in concrete and indoor facilities. Derry/Londonderry and Lisburn round out the main hubs, and the wet climate means indoor space is genuinely valuable.

Directory FAQ
How do I list a school?
It's free. Send us from the contact page: name, city, address, disciplines, schedule and an email/phone. We verify and publish.
How much do skate lessons cost in Spain?
Prices vary a lot by city, discipline and facilities (indoor vs outdoor). As a rough guide, single lessons are usually €12–25 and monthly passes €35–90. Best bet: ask the school directly, since rates change every season.
How young can my kid start?
From age 4–5 some schools run "baby" classes (mini decks, lots of play, little technique). The classic starting age is 6–7. For adults there's no limit.
Do I need my own board for the first lessons?
Most schools lend a board and helmet for the first sessions so you can try. If you stick with it, they'll help you pick your first skate.
Why are some cities not listed?
We're growing. If you know schools in a city that isn't here, write to us and we'll add them.
