Channel Gap

An open gap in a ramp you have to clear in the air, usually with a bar across the top.
Extended definition
A channel is a gap cut into a mini ramp or vert wall: instead of a continuous wall there's a void you cross through the air (often with a pole jam or bar up top to grind or clear). Clearing the channel clean is one of the classic mini and vert challenges, and it adds a lot to a transition line.
