Extension
A section of a ramp or bowl that rises higher than the rest of the wall.

An extension is a localised part of the transition that's taller than the coping around it: a raised "peak" inside a bowl or quarter. It's used to grab more height on airs, transfer in or out of it, or build lines that play with the wall's height changes. Common vocabulary when describing bowls and vert parks.
