Old School
Also known as: oldschool
70s and 80s skating: wide fish-shaped boards, vert, pool and old-school tricks.
Extended definition
"Old school" refers to the era before the 90s technical street boom: wide asymmetric shapes with a small nose, big wheels, lots of vert, pool and bowl, and tricks like boneless, no comply or early grab. Today it's also a much-revived aesthetic — 80s board reissues, shaped boards — and an attitude against "new school".
