Skating on flat ground, no ramps, rails or ledges. The technical base of everything else.
Extended definition
Flatground is where you learn and polish the fundamentals: ollie, kickflip, heelflip, shove-its, manuals and all their combos, with no obstacle involved. Sounds basic but it's the real level filter: a clean, stylish flatground says more about a skater than a one-off trick on a rail. Many riders build their technical game here before taking it to the street.
